DESCRIPTION - The seagoing experiences of Count von Lucker. Luckner ran away to sea at the age of 13 and didn't return until he was 21. Having obtained a master's ticket, he then joined the German Navy. He saw action at Jutland before taking command of the auxiliary sailing ship Seeadler, which sank 14 Allied merchantmen without taking a single life. This larger than life character recounts in his own words his adventures of ships, sailors' sweethearts, brawls, dancing halls and prisons, and wartime episodes.
