Buckeridge, Richard T. Butcher, Featherston. Bankers: Bank of New Zealand. This business, which was established in 1880, has been conducted by the present proprietor since 1892. The shop, with dwelling attached, stands close to the main street and is convenient of access. The slaughteryards are abut half a mile away. The freehold premises are well- known in the district, and Mr Buckeridge is famed for keeping the very best meat procurable. A large part of his business is done by means of a cart, which travels the district. Mrs Buckeridge attends to the shop in the absence of Mr Buckeridge, who devotes all his time to business matters, and does not take much part in public affairs.
