Dickie, Alexander, Farmer, Momahaki. Born in Canada, the subject of this sketch accompanied his parents to New Zealand at any early age. He was brought up to farming pursuits, and has taken over his father's farm, which consists of 1200 acres, carrying 2000 sheep, 200 head of cattle, and twenty horses. Mr. Dickie is ever ready to take his share of the public burdens, and sits as a member of the Waitotara-Momahaki Road Board.
